Reading Room Renovation
Our Reading Room Renovation is the result of The Great African Read literacy initiative. Funds earned from the sale of The Great African Read are then used to support the renovation/creation of a reading facility at our adopted school. The adopted school is identified yearly, we aim to adopt schools that are passionate about literacy but are not equipped with the necessary reading facilities and resources in order to really add value into the communities that they operate in.
Our first reading room renovation took place in 2020 at Hlokomani Primary School, where 773 learners were then able to benefit from this facility. Watch the full clip of our journey at Hlokomani Primary School on the following link https://youtu.be/vliAmut8BV8.
